Additional Project Info :
ASYCUDAWorld is fully operational nationwide in the Moldovan Customs Service (MCS) since 2006. Moldova was the first country that implemented ASYCUDAWorld nationwide in the operational Customs>
In all computerised customs offices,
- 100% declarations are processed through MCS ASYCUDAWorld
- All declarations are submitted to Customs in electronic format (100% DTI, Direct Trader Input)
- All customs regimes are implemented, including Transit and Warehousing
- Customs officers are allocated for physical inspection automatically by the system (a strong anti-corruption measure)
- Updates of reference data (tariff etc) made in the MCS HQ are automatically available in all Customs offices (effective tool to apply the law nationwide in a consistent and effective manner)
- All customs declarations are automatically consolidated in the MCS HQ database and subsequenly used to produce real-time accurate statistics.

The current ASYCUDAWorld version operational nationwide is ASYCUDAWorld/TIR system, which integrates the latest IRU TIR functionalities (TIR Electronic Pre-Declarations and Real-Time SafeTIR). This new version provides MCS with the following services:
- Automatic transfer of the TIR Electronic Pre-declaration to MCS, i.e. MCS receives comprehensive information concerning the TIRs that will arrive in the country prior to the arrival of the truck at the border. The pre-arrival information can be used for risk-management as well for operational purposes (e.g. customs officers retrieve the TIR Carnets’ data instead of keying them in, which minimizes both the work and the possibility of errors).
- Automatic cross-check of the validity of the TIR Carnet vs. the IRU central database, which is an additional strong tool in the fight against fraud in transit operations.
- Automatic generation of the SafeTIR message and transfer to the IRU central system, an important trade facilitation feature, which decreases significantly the time requested to confirm the closing of TIR operations.
